How to make gold at level 20 to 30

• Vendors sell it for 43s 23c and buy it back for 8s 64c. That is the ceiling for an auction price while vendors stock it.
• Crafted by Tailoring at skill 130; the recipe comes from a trainer. Reagents below.
• It binds when equipped: tradeable until someone wears it, so each one sells once.
• Disenchants into Soul Dust, Greater Astral Essence, Large Glimmering Shard, worth about 30s 57c on PvP Alliance today. Odds below.

• Invoker's Cord · Tailoring 130 · trainer
  • 3× Bolt of Silk Cloth
  • 1× Fine Thread
  • 1× Gray Dye
  • 1× Shadowgem

• Soul Dust75% of the time · 2 to 57s 86c
• Greater Astral Essence20% of the time · 1 to 217s 99c
• Large Glimmering Shard5% of the time90s 99c

Expected value 30s 57c per disenchant at PvP Alliance medians. More than the 8s 64c a vendor pays for it.

Vanilla disenchant tables by quality and item level; the same estimate the addon shows in tooltips.
