World of Warcraft: Forever · by class

2,549 items only one class can use

Forever marks an item that only one class may equip. That marking is how class sets, class quest rewards and class-specific crafts show up in the item tables, and it is the whole of what these pages read: what each class alone can use, by slot, what is new in Forever, which sets the pieces form, and which pieces a profession can make.

For the classes themselves, Class changes sets every spell and talent in Forever against its Classic Era version, and each class has a talent calculator: Warrior, Paladin, Hunter, Rogue, Priest, Shaman, Mage, Warlock, Druid. Races covers every racial ability.

What a class page holds

Each class page lists the gear only that class can equip, by slot, with what is new in Forever marked, the sets those pieces form with every piece linked, and the pieces a profession can make with their recipe. Prices sit on the item pages, so a class page is the map and the item page is the number. The class pages read the item tables and nothing else; what a class plays like belongs to the class changes pages, which set every spell and talent against its Classic Era version.

Most class-only gear is set gear or a quest reward and binds when picked up, so it never reaches the auction house. The crafted pieces are the exception, and they are the ones a leveling character can buy: each class page names them with the profession and skill that makes them.

Common questions

How many class-only items are there in WoW Forever?
2,549 items in the Forever beta are marked for a single class across the nine classes: Mage 387, Shaman 384, Priest 338 and the rest. An item several classes can use is not counted; the full catalog has every item.
Which class has the most new gear in Forever?
Shaman, with 105 class-only items that did not exist in Classic Era. Every class page marks its new pieces and names the build they appeared in.
Can class gear be bought on the auction house?
Set pieces and quest rewards bind when picked up and never reach the house. Crafted class pieces can be traded, and each class page lists them with the profession and skill that makes them; their item pages carry the auction price on every market.
Where are the class changes and talents?
On the class changes pages, which set every spell and talent in Forever against its Classic Era version build by build, and on each class talent calculator. The class pages here are about gear only.
Where do these pages get their data?
From the Forever beta game data, read again with every build. The class marking on an item is the flag the game sets, not an editorial choice, so a piece appears here exactly when the game restricts it to one class.
