About AHledger

AHledger is market intelligence for the World of Warcraft: Forever auction house. It records what the AH is doing, keeps the history, and turns it into the numbers a player needs to buy, sell, craft, and flip with an edge: current prices, price history, volume, crafting margins, alerts, and a public API. It launches with the game on November 4, 2026.

What AHledger is

The auction house is the economy of the game. Every mat, BoE, consumable, and recipe has a price that moves by the hour, and the players who can see those moves make gold while everyone else guesses. AHledger is the ledger of that economy: one page per item per market, with the latest minimum buyout, the median, how many units are listed, and how both have moved over 7, 30, and 90 days.

It is not a database of everything in the game. Wowhead does that well. AHledger covers one thing, the market, for one version of the game, completely: every item, every market, every scan, with the analysis layer on top that raw price data does not give you.

Why World of Warcraft: Forever

Forever is a permanent third version of WoW built on the original game: level 60 cap, new quests, dungeons, raids, and a stream of new items on top of the Classic Era catalog. It is included with every standard subscription, so it starts with a large population on day one.

The part that matters for the economy: Forever is realmless. Instead of hundreds of small realm auction houses, there are a handful of rulesets (Normal, PvP, RP, and Hardcore later), each a single megaserver with one economy per faction. That means six very large, very liquid markets in the US region, all starting from zero on launch day, with no price history anywhere. AHledger exists to be that history from the first hour.

On AHledger a market is one auction house economy: game, ruleset, faction, region. You will see them named the way players name them, PvP Horde, Normal Alliance, RP Horde, never as realms or servers.

What it does

Free

  • One price page per item per market: min buyout, median, units listed, 7 and 30 day charts, and the same item across every market.
  • The New in Forever catalog: every item the Forever client adds over Classic Era, by class and profession, with details, recipes, and reagents.
  • Crafting pages: reagent cost against craft value, so the margin is on the page.
  • Daily leaderboards: top movers, most traded, biggest volume per market.
  • Search, item comparison, and a free API tier with attribution.

Trader

  • Price alerts by email, Discord webhook, or push.
  • Deal scanner: listings under your chosen percent of the 30 day median, refreshed every scan.
  • Crafting profit dashboard for the professions and recipes you track.
  • Portfolio: the items you hold, with unrealized gain and loss.
  • Historical exports as CSV.

$5.99 per month or $49 per year at launch. Founders lock $3.99 per month for life.

Desk

  • Market structure: order book depth, velocity, supply shock detection, and seasonality around reset day and patch day.
  • Buy and sell timing signals per item, each with its backtest stated.
  • The full weekly report, The Ledger, included.
  • Higher API quota.

$14.99 per month or $129 per year.

The Ledger

A weekly report on the state of the economy: the biggest movers, one chart, one insight, one crafting play. The free edition goes to every confirmed waitlist address; the full edition, with profession profitability rankings and a ruleset by ruleset comparison, is part of Desk.

Where the data comes from

Only from the game or from Blizzard. AHledger uses three sources and nothing else:

  1. Blizzard's Game Data API. The official, documented API for item data, media, and auction house snapshots where Blizzard publishes them.
  2. The game client's own data tables. Read from an installed client, this is how the New in Forever catalog knows an item exists before anyone has listed it, and where item descriptions, binding, stack sizes, vendor prices, and recipe reagents come from.
  3. The AHledger addon. A free, open source addon that scans the auction house through the official in-game API when you open it, and uploads the scan through AHledger sync, a small desktop app, signed with a per-install key. It never automates gameplay and works without a subscription.

No third-party price data, no scraping of other sites, no purchased datasets. Every number on the site carries a provenance label (Blizzard API, addon scan, or client data) and a timestamp, so you always know what a price is and how old it is. When a market has no scans yet, the page says so instead of showing a stale number.

How a price gets on the page

  1. A player with the addon opens the AH. The addon reads every listing in seconds and stores a compact snapshot.
  2. AHledger sync uploads the snapshot. The server checks the signature, drops corrupt or partial scans, and filters outliers on both ends.
  3. Each item's min buyout, median, and quantity are written as a time series, then rolled up hourly and daily.
  4. The item and market pages read the rollups, and alerts fire on the new numbers.

Several scans of the same market inside an hour are merged, so the more players run the addon, the fresher every page gets. On Forever, where Blizzard's API may not publish auction snapshots at all, the addon is what makes the site work.

Who it is for

  • Crafters who want to know which recipe is worth the mats today, on their faction, before they buy.
  • Flippers and goblins who live on undercuts, reset day spikes, and listings priced below the median.
  • Raiders and guild banks who buy consumables every week and want to buy them on the right day.
  • Levelers who want to know what their drops and gathered mats are actually worth.
  • Developers and creators who want price data in their own tools, sheets, and videos through the API.

What is next

The market data is the foundation. On top of it, in order: accounts and the Trader and Desk plans, watchlists and alerts, then two products for the parts of Forever that a realmless world changes most.

  • Guildhall (by AHledger), early 2027: guild profiles, recruitment listings, and player profiles with verified history, because realm identity no longer exists and finding a guild on a megaserver needs real tools.
  • Hardcore, when the Hardcore ruleset launches: death analytics, memorial pages, and a scarcity tracker for an economy where wealth leaves the system with every death.

Who builds it

AHledger is built by Hubrig Crew Marketing LLC, a US company that runs analytics and content operations for its own products and for clients. The team plays the game and builds the site the way the plan describes it: a time series ingestion product with a content site on top, boring proven technology everywhere it does not cost an edge.

AHledger is an independent product and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Blizzard Entertainment. World of Warcraft is a trademark of Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. We use no Blizzard art, typefaces, or trademarks beyond naming the game.
