World of Warcraft: Forever

Forever is World of Warcraft without realms. There is no server to choose, no transfer to pay for, and no realm-specific price: players are separated only by ruleset, faction and region. That one change is what makes its economy different from every version of the game that came before it, and it is what this site is here to measure; how the auction house works has its own page. Launch is November 4, 2026; the beta is running now.

Everything below comes from the Forever beta itself, is updated each build, and all of it is free.

How the auction house works

In every previous version of World of Warcraft, an auction house belonged to a realm. Prices on one server had nothing to do with prices on another, a thin server stayed thin, and moving goods between them was impossible. Forever removes that entirely. One ruleset and faction is one market, holding everybody who plays it.

  • Supply and demand are pooled, so prices move on what the whole population is doing, not on what one guild decided to farm.
  • Nothing can be arbitraged between realms, because there are none. The only price gap that persists is between the two factions, and it goes through the neutral auctioneers and their larger cut.
  • A market is deep enough that a single seller rarely moves a price, which makes patience worth more than speed for most items.

Common questions

What is World of Warcraft: Forever?
World of Warcraft: Forever is a version of World of Warcraft built on Classic Era with no realms. Because there are no servers to separate players, one ruleset and faction share a single auction house, so the economy is far larger and far more liquid than a realm's. It launches on November 4, 2026.Release date and launch times
Does World of Warcraft: Forever have servers or realms?
No. There are no realms to pick, no realm transfers and no realm-specific prices. Players are separated only by ruleset, Normal, PvP or RP, by faction, and by region, which is why there are six markets in the US rather than hundreds. How the auction house works
Is there a neutral auction house in WoW Forever?
Yes. The neutral auctioneers in Gadgetzan, Booty Bay and Everlook take listings from both factions and are the only trade between Horde and Alliance; the neutral house keeps a larger share of each sale than a faction house. AHledger tracks each faction house as its own market. The neutral auction house
How many markets does WoW Forever have, and which are open?
6 in the US: Normal, PvP and RP, each with a Horde and an Alliance house. 4 are open in the beta (Normal Alliance, Normal Horde, PvP Alliance, PvP Horde); RP Alliance, RP Horde are not open in the beta yet.The markets
Why does WoW Forever say no realms are available?
Forever has no realm list, so the realm screen has nothing to show. If the game says no realms are available, the beta is closed at that moment or the account does not have beta access yet; Blizzard grants access through the beta profile in Battle.net account settings. How beta access works
How do I make a guild in the WoW Forever beta?
The beta has its own Guild Charter. Buy it from a guild master in a capital city, collect nine signatures from other characters, as in Classic Era, and hand it back to found the guild. AHledger tracks the charter as an item and nothing else about guilds.Guild Charter
How many items are new in World of Warcraft: Forever?
4,909 items in Forever do not exist in Classic Era, across armor, weapons, recipes, consumables and trade goods.Everything new in Forever
Where do the prices on this site come from?
From players scanning the auction house with the AHledger addon. A scan records every listing on one market at that moment, and the site keeps the cheapest listing, the median across all units and 7, 30 and 90 day history per item and market. Nothing comes from a third-party price database.Start scanning

What changed in the last build

The newest beta build on record is 1.60.1 (build 70205). Every build is compared against the one before it, so an item added, removed or renamed shows up with the build that did it.

See 1.60.1 (build 70205) or every build. Changed from Classic Era lists every item Forever retuned or renamed.

Prices

Every item has a price page per market: the cheapest listing, the median across all units, how many are listed, and 7, 30 and 90 day history. The numbers come from players scanning the auction house with the addon, so a market has prices once somebody is scanning it.
