World of Warcraft: Forever · the economy
The WoW Forever economy
As of October 6, 2026, about 193,378g is listed across the 4 open auction houses of World of Warcraft: Forever, and PvP Horde is the biggest economy. Each ruleset and faction shares one megaserver and one auction house, so each house is a whole economy. This page measures them from the auction house scans players upload: how much gold is listed, how many auctions and units, how the megaservers compare and how that has moved since the first full scan.

Head to head
Horde and Alliance on the same ruleset are separate economies; the only bridge is the neutral auction house, which keeps 15 percent of each sale. PvP and Normal never trade at all. So a gap here is a real difference in how much each side has to sell.

How it is measured
- Listed value. Every unit on the house priced at its median price in the scan, added up. Bids without a buyout are left out.
- The caps. An item priced at more than three times its own 7 day median counts at its 7 day median, and an item listed in more than ten times the most it was listed in on any of the previous seven days counts at ten times, so an absurd price or a made-up stack cannot add millions of gold to a market. Priced at the cheapest listing instead, the same houses hold 161,661g.
- Full scans only, one vote each. A scan of one category or one page would read as the market shrinking, so only full scans count. The figure shown is the median across contributors over the last 24 hours, each player counting once with their latest scan, so one player sending many scans cannot decide it. The daily history works the same way, day by day.
- What it leaves out. Gold players hold, items in bags and banks, trades by mail or in person, and placeholder items the game data does not know yet. Nothing reports those, and the addon never sends your gold.
- Where the scans come from. Players scanning with the AHledger addon; the price guide explains how a scan becomes a price. Nothing comes from a third-party price database. The same figures are in the API as JSON, and the weekly report carries each house size.
Common questions
How big is the WoW Forever economy?
About 193,378g is listed across the 4 open World of Warcraft: Forever auction houses as of October 6, 2026, in 346,706 auctions holding 2,082,536 units. That is the gold the listings are worth at their median price, not the gold players hold.
Which WoW Forever megaserver has the biggest economy?
PvP Horde, with about 67,110g listed. PvP Alliance holds 53,786g, Normal Horde holds 37,380g, Normal Alliance holds 35,103g.
Is the PvP or the Normal economy bigger in WoW Forever?
PvP lists more: 120,895g on the PvP houses against 72,483g on Normal, 67% more on PvP.
Does Horde or Alliance have the bigger economy in WoW Forever?
On PvP, Horde lists 25% more than Alliance. On Normal, Horde lists 6% more than Alliance. The two factions only trade through the neutral auction house, which keeps 15 percent of each sale, so each side is its own economy.
What is a megaserver in WoW Forever?
World of Warcraft: Forever has no realms. Everyone on one ruleset and faction in a region shares one megaserver and one auction house, so the US has six: Normal, PvP and RP, each with a Horde and an Alliance house. AHledger calls each one a market.
How is the value of an auction house worked out?
Every unit on the auction house is priced at its median price in that scan and the units are added up. An item priced at more than three times its own 7 day median counts at the 7 day median, and an item listed in more than ten times the most it was listed in on any of the previous seven days counts at ten times, so one absurd listing cannot inflate a market. Only full scans count, and the figure shown is the median across contributors over the last 24 hours, each player counting once with their latest scan, so neither a scan cut short nor one player sending many scans decides it.
Does this count the gold players are holding?
No. The game does not show anyone how much gold other players hold, and the addon never reports yours. These figures cover what is listed for sale, which is the part of the economy everyone can see and the part that sets prices.
How far back do the economy figures go?
Since September 21, 2026, the first full scan on this site. Every full scan adds a point, and the chart shows the median scan of each day.
Can I get the WoW Forever economy figures as data?
From the free AHledger API: https://api.ahledger.com/v1/economy returns every market at once with totals, comparisons and daily history, and /v1/economy/{market} returns one market. Values are in copper. Credit AHledger with a link to this page.
