What the service is

AHledger records auction house prices for World of Warcraft: Forever and turns them into pages, alerts, tools, and an API. The prices come from scans that players run in game with the addon and from Blizzard's published game data. We do our best to keep them accurate and current, but a price is a snapshot of one moment on one market, and the market moves. Nothing on the service is a guarantee of what an item will sell for.

The service is in beta until the game launches. Features can change, break, or be removed while it is, and data recorded during the beta may be reset when the auction house opens.

Not affiliated with Blizzard

AHledger is an independent product and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Blizzard Entertainment. World of Warcraft is a trademark of Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. Your use of the game, including the addon inside it, is governed by Blizzard's own terms. The addon reads what the auction house shows you through the game's official addon API, never automates play, and never buys, sells, or posts on its own.

Accounts

An account is an email address. You sign in with a link we send to it, so keep that inbox secure; anyone who can read it can use your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including uploads made with your keys. Tell us through the contact form if you think someone else has access, and revoke your upload keys on the account page.

You must be old enough to hold a World of Warcraft account in your country to hold an AHledger account. One person, one account. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms; you can close yours at any time through the contact form, and we delete its data as the privacy page describes.

The addon and AHledger sync

The addon and the sync app are free. They are licensed to you for personal use with the service, not sold, and all rights are reserved. You may install them on machines you use; you may not redistribute them, sell them, or ship modified versions under the AHledger name. The addon's source is readable in the download so you can see what it does.

Contributing scans is on by default and can be turned off in the addon. A scan carries item ids, quantities, prices, and a time, for one market, and nothing about you or other players. By contributing you give us the right to store the scan, combine it with others, and publish the prices that result. Uploads are signed with your key so we can tell installs apart; a key that sends corrupt, fabricated, or abusive data is revoked.

Acceptable use

Do not:

• upload scans you did not take in game, or alter a scan before uploading it;
• use the service to break Blizzard's terms, including any form of automated trading;
• probe, overload, or interfere with the service, or go around its rate limits or access controls;
• scrape pages at a rate or scale the API exists to serve instead;
• present our data as your own, or resell it as a feed;
• use another person's account or key.

Paid plans

The site, the addon, sync, accounts, the watchlist, email alerts, and the free API tier cost nothing. Trader and Desk are paid plans that add features listed on the about page. When they open, a plan is billed in advance, monthly or yearly, at the price shown when you subscribe, and renews until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account; the plan runs to the end of the period you paid for and does not renew. We do not refund partial periods except where the law requires it or where we have failed to provide the plan.

Founders pricing is a promise to the first 1,000 confirmed waitlist signups who subscribe to Trader: the founder price holds for as long as the subscription stays active. If it lapses, the current price applies on return. We can change prices for new subscriptions at any time; a price change for an existing subscription takes effect at its next renewal and is announced at least 30 days before.

The API

The free API tier is open for personal and commercial use on two conditions: credit AHledger with a link to ahledger.com wherever the data is shown, and do not present the data as your own scan or resell it as a feed. Rate limits are stated on the developers page; honor the cache headers. The API can change during the beta. Breaking changes keep the old version running for at least 30 days and are announced on the developers page and the changelog.

Content and ownership

The pages, guides, design, code, and compiled data on the service are ours or licensed to us. Item names, icons, and game data belong to Blizzard and are shown under its published game data terms. You may quote or link to any public page with attribution. You may not copy the catalog or price history wholesale except through the API on its terms.

Anything you send us through the contact form or in a bug report you allow us to use to improve the service, without obligation.

No warranty, limited liability

The service is provided as is. We do not promise it will be available, error free, or that any price on it is what an item will trade for. In-game gold has no cash value and nothing here is financial advice of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the service, including in-game losses, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars if you paid nothing. Some places do not allow these limits, in which case they apply as far as they can.

Changes, law, and contact

We can change these terms. A material change is announced on the changelog and, for account holders, by email, at least 14 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that date is acceptance.

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which Hubrig Crew Marketing LLC is organized, without regard to conflict of law rules.
