Get started
Five steps take you from nothing to your first uploaded scan. Steps 1 and 5 happen in game; the rest happen here. The whole thing takes about ten minutes.
Sign in and this page checks each step off as you go.
Step 1
Install the addon
Get AHledger from CurseForge with the CurseForge app or by unzipping into your Forever Interface/AddOns folder. In game, type /ahl to open the window. The addon works on its own; the rest of this list connects it to the site.
The site cannot see whether the addon is installed. Step 5 confirms it indirectly.
Step 2
Create an account
Sign in with your email. No password; a link arrives and signs you in. The account holds your upload keys, your watchlist, and email alerts.
Step 3
Create an upload key
On the account page, press Create key. Copy the key id and the secret straight away; the secret is shown once. One key per machine is the idea.
Step 4
Install AHledger sync and paste the key
Download AHledger sync 0.2.1, run it, and paste the key id and secret. It watches the addon's saved data and uploads each scan. It only needs to be running when you scan.
This step checks off when the first upload lands, which needs step 5.
Step 5
Scan the auction house
Open the auction house in game and press Scan in the AHledger window, or type /ahl scan. When the scan finishes, log out or /reload so the game writes its saved data; sync picks it up within a minute and the market page updates on the next refresh.

After setup
- Watch items and set email alerts for drops, spikes, and thin supply.
- Read the profession pages for crafting margins on the markets you play.
- Scan often. Each scan you upload improves the medians every other tester sees.
