Creatures and vendors

Common questions

What is on a creature or vendor page?

What the creature has dropped with the rate once enough loot windows have been opened, or what the vendor sells and for how much, the zone and subzone it was seen in, what the loot is worth at the auction house median, and the quests it gives or takes.

Where do the drop rates come from?

From 341 creatures and 0 vendors reported by players running the addon with item sources on, summed across everyone who contributes. A rate is shown only after twenty loot windows on the same creature; before that the page says how many times the item was seen.

Why is a creature missing?

Because nobody with the addon has looted it yet, or it has been looted too few times to list. Every corpse opened with item sources on adds to the count; dungeon creatures land on the dungeon page as well.

Are vendor prices from the game?

Yes. The addon records the price shown in the vendor window when a player opens it, so a vendor price here is what the vendor charged that player, in copper, with reputation discounts as they applied.

How do I add to this?

Install the addon, keep Contribute item sources on in its options, play. Loot windows, vendor windows, quest windows and fishing casts are noted on your machine and sync sends them with your scans. Nothing about your character travels with them.
