The AHledger addon

Prices in your tooltips and crafting windows, a watchlist with alerts, vendor and disenchant values, and a scanner that feeds the shared price database. It reads listings through the official in-game API, saves a compact snapshot, and AHledger sync uploads it when you choose to contribute. No automation, nothing paywalled, no account needed.

Install

  1. Install AHledger through the CurseForge app, or unzip it into World of Warcraft/_classic_/Interface/AddOns.
  2. Log in and open the auction house. The addon scans automatically the first time you open it, and again at most every few minutes after that.
  3. Type /ahl status to see your realm, faction, and how many scans are stored.
  4. Run AHledger sync on your desktop. It watches the addon's saved file, uploads each new scan you have chosen to contribute, and writes fresh price tables into the addon so tooltips and crafting margins stay current. No sync app? Every market page has an import string to paste in game with /ahl import.

What leaves your machine

A scan is a list of item ids, quantities, buyout, and bid prices for one market, with the time it was taken. It carries no character names, no seller names, and no account data. Scans from several players inside the same hour are merged, so the more people run the addon, the fresher every item page gets. The About page explains where every number on the site comes from.

The addon never buys, sells, cancels, or posts anything. It only reads what the auction house shows you, which is what Blizzard's addon policy allows.

AHledger sync

The desktop app that connects the addon to ahledger.com. It finds your saved-variables file, uploads new scans in the background, downloads fresh price tables into the addon every 30 minutes, and shows when each market was last updated. Windows today, macOS once the auction house opens. Get it from the download page, which also explains why the addon alone cannot do this.
