World of Warcraft: Forever release date
November 4, 2026, at 3 pm Pacific time, worldwide. That is in 32 days.
Blizzard announced the date at BlizzCon 2026 on September 12, 2026. The game is included with an existing World of Warcraft subscription or game time, on Windows and macOS, with optional upgrade packs sold separately. The beta has been running since September 17, 2026.
Launch time where you are
One launch moment for the whole world, which for a game with no realms is the only way it could work: everyone on a ruleset and faction shares one auction house from the first minute.

What Blizzard has announced
- The foundation is the original Azeroth, and the level cap stays at 60. This is not a new expansion on top of the current game; it is a third version of World of Warcraft alongside the modern game and Classic.
- Three new zones, more than 1,000 new quests, nine dungeons and two raids at launch.
- A new playable race, the Skyborne, and new race and class pairings including Forsaken Paladins and Dwarf Shamans.
- Included with a subscription or game time. Optional digital upgrade packs add content and cosmetic items; nothing in them is required to play.
- No realms. Players are separated by ruleset, faction and region only, which is why there are six auction houses in the US rather than hundreds.

What launch day does to an economy
Every price starts at zero. For the first days the auction house is supply with almost no demand, then the first characters reach the level where they can spend, and every reagent and consumable they need is scarce at once. The prices of the first two weeks have no relation to the prices of the second month.
