How to make gold at level 10 to 20

• Vendors sell it for 15s 38c and buy it back for 3s 7c. That is the ceiling for an auction price while vendors stock it.
• Crafted by Leatherworking at skill 60; the recipe comes from a trainer. Reagents below.
• It binds when equipped: tradeable until someone wears it, so each one sells once.
• Disenchants into Strange Dust, Greater Magic Essence, Small Glimmering Shard, worth about 7s 3c on Normal Horde today. Odds below.

• Dark Leather Boots · Leatherworking 60 · trainer
  • 4× Medium Leather
  • 2× Fine Thread
  • 1× Gray Dye

• Strange Dust75% of the time · 2 to 52s 40c
• Greater Magic Essence20% of the time · 1 to 22s 11c
• Small Glimmering Shard5% of the time2s 10c

Expected value 7s 3c per disenchant at Normal Horde medians. That is above the item's own median of 4s, so an enchanter can buy it to shard.

Vanilla disenchant tables by quality and item level; the same estimate the addon shows in tooltips.
