How to make gold at level 10 to 20

• Vendors sell it for 54s 46c and buy it back for 10s 89c. That is the ceiling for an auction price while vendors stock it.
• Crafted by Leatherworking at skill 75; the recipe comes from a trainer. Reagents below.
• It binds when equipped: tradeable until someone wears it, so each one sells once.
• Disenchants into Soul Dust, Lesser Astral Essence, Small Glimmering Shard, worth about 12s 24c on Normal Horde today. Odds below.

• Dark Leather Pants · Leatherworking 75 · trainer
  • 12× Medium Leather
  • 1× Fine Thread
  • 1× Gray Dye

• Soul Dust75% of the time · 1 to 28s 80c
• Lesser Astral Essence20% of the time · 1 to 27s 47c
• Small Glimmering Shard5% of the time2s 10c

Expected value 12s 24c per disenchant at Normal Horde medians. That is above the item's own median of 11s, so an enchanter can buy it to shard.

Vanilla disenchant tables by quality and item level; the same estimate the addon shows in tooltips.
