How to make gold at level 10 to 20

• Vendors sell it for 29s 78c and buy it back for 5s 95c. That is the ceiling for an auction price while vendors stock it.
• Crafted by Blacksmithing at skill 40; the recipe comes from a trainer. Reagents below.
• It binds when equipped: tradeable until someone wears it, so each one sells once.
• Disenchants into Strange Dust, Greater Magic Essence, Small Glimmering Shard, worth about 7s 3c on Normal Horde today. Odds below.

• Heavy Copper Maul · Blacksmithing 40 · trainer
  • 12× Copper Bar
  • 2× Light Leather
  • 2× Weak Flux

• Strange Dust75% of the time · 2 to 52s 40c
• Greater Magic Essence20% of the time · 1 to 22s 11c
• Small Glimmering Shard5% of the time2s 10c

Expected value 7s 3c per disenchant at Normal Horde medians. More than the 5s 95c a vendor pays for it.

Vanilla disenchant tables by quality and item level; the same estimate the addon shows in tooltips.
