How to make gold at level 10 to 20

• Vendors sell it for 25s 95c and buy it back for 5s 19c. That is the ceiling for an auction price while vendors stock it.
• Crafted by Leatherworking at skill 60; the recipe comes from a trainer. Reagents below.
• It binds when equipped: tradeable until someone wears it, so each one sells once.
• Disenchants into Strange Dust, Greater Magic Essence, Small Glimmering Shard, worth about 9s 60c on PvP Alliance today. Odds below.

• Black Whelp Cloak · Leatherworking 60 · trainer
  • 12× Black Whelp Scale
  • 4× Medium Leather
  • 1× Fine Thread

• Strange Dust75% of the time · 2 to 52s 48c
• Greater Magic Essence20% of the time · 1 to 29s 99c
• Small Glimmering Shard5% of the time2s 2c

Expected value 9s 60c per disenchant at PvP Alliance medians. More than the 5s 19c a vendor pays for it.

Vanilla disenchant tables by quality and item level; the same estimate the addon shows in tooltips.
