How to make gold at level 10 to 20

• Vendors sell it for 46s 78c and buy it back for 9s 35c. That is the ceiling for an auction price while vendors stock it.
• Crafted by Tailoring at skill 55; the recipe comes from a trainer. Reagents below.
• It binds when equipped: tradeable until someone wears it, so each one sells once.
• Disenchants into Strange Dust, Greater Magic Essence, Small Glimmering Shard, worth about 12s 38c on Normal Alliance today. Odds below.

• Colorful Kilt · Tailoring 55 · trainer
  • 5× Bolt of Woolen Cloth
  • 3× Red Dye
  • 1× Fine Thread

• Strange Dust75% of the time · 2 to 52s 39c
• Greater Magic Essence20% of the time · 1 to 219s 99c
• Small Glimmering Shard5% of the time2s 29c

Expected value 12s 38c per disenchant at Normal Alliance medians. More than the 9s 35c a vendor pays for it.

Vanilla disenchant tables by quality and item level; the same estimate the addon shows in tooltips.
