How to make gold at level 20 to 30

• Vendors sell it for 72s 86c and buy it back for 14s 57c. That is the ceiling for an auction price while vendors stock it.
• Crafted by Leatherworking at skill 100; the recipe comes from a trainer. Reagents below.
• It binds when equipped: tradeable until someone wears it, so each one sells once.
• Disenchants into Soul Dust, Greater Astral Essence, Large Glimmering Shard, worth about 33s 52c on Normal Alliance today. Odds below.

• Dark Leather Shoulders · Leatherworking 100 · trainer
  • 12× Medium Leather
  • 2× Fine Thread
  • 1× Elixir of Lesser Agility
  • 1× Gray Dye

• Soul Dust75% of the time · 2 to 57s 96c
• Greater Astral Essence20% of the time · 1 to 229s 46c
• Large Glimmering Shard5% of the time75s 90c

Expected value 33s 52c per disenchant at Normal Alliance medians. More than the 14s 57c a vendor pays for it.

Vanilla disenchant tables by quality and item level; the same estimate the addon shows in tooltips.
