How to make gold at level 10 to 20

• Vendors sell it for 53s 82c and buy it back for 10s 76c. That is the ceiling for an auction price while vendors stock it.
• Crafted by Tailoring at skill 85; the recipe comes from a trainer. Reagents below.
• It binds when equipped: tradeable until someone wears it, so each one sells once.
• Disenchants into Soul Dust, Lesser Astral Essence, Small Glimmering Shard, worth about 11s 76c on Normal Alliance today. Odds below.

• Phoenix Pants · Tailoring 85 · trainer
  • 6× Bolt of Woolen Cloth
  • 3× Fine Thread
  • 1× Iridescent Pearl

• Soul Dust75% of the time · 1 to 27s 96c
• Lesser Astral Essence20% of the time · 1 to 28s 99c
• Small Glimmering Shard5% of the time2s 29c

Expected value 11s 76c per disenchant at Normal Alliance medians. More than the 10s 76c a vendor pays for it.

Vanilla disenchant tables by quality and item level; the same estimate the addon shows in tooltips.
