How to make gold at level 20 to 30

• Vendors sell it for 1g 17s 88c and buy it back for 23s 57c. That is the ceiling for an auction price while vendors stock it.
• Crafted by Engineering at skill 115; the recipe comes from a trainer. Reagents below.
• It binds when equipped: tradeable until someone wears it, so each one sells once.
• Disenchants into Soul Dust, Greater Astral Essence, Large Glimmering Shard, worth about 26s 15c on PvP Horde today. Odds below.

• Silver-plated Shotgun · Engineering 115 · trainer
  • 3× Silver Bar
  • 2× Bronze Tube
  • 2× Whirring Bronze Gizmo
  • 1× Heavy Stock

• Greater Astral Essence20% of the time · 1 to 215s 29c

Expected value 26s 15c per disenchant at PvP Horde medians. More than the 23s 57c a vendor pays for it.

Vanilla disenchant tables by quality and item level; the same estimate the addon shows in tooltips.
