How to make gold at level 1 to 10

• Vendors sell it for 8s 5c and buy it back for 1s 61c. That is the ceiling for an auction price while vendors stock it.
• Crafted by Tailoring at skill 20; the recipe comes from a trainer. Reagents below.
• It binds when equipped: tradeable until someone wears it, so each one sells once.
• Disenchants into Strange Dust, Lesser Magic Essence, worth about 2s 99c on Normal Alliance today. Odds below.

• Blue Linen Vest · Tailoring 20 · trainer
  • 3× Bolt of Linen Cloth
  • 1× Blue Dye
  • 1× Coarse Thread

• Strange Dust80% of the time · 1 to 22s 39c
• Lesser Magic Essence20% of the time · 1 to 241c

Expected value 2s 99c per disenchant at Normal Alliance medians. More than the 1s 61c a vendor pays for it.

Vanilla disenchant tables by quality and item level; the same estimate the addon shows in tooltips.
