How to make gold at level 20 to 30

• Vendors sell it for 61s 41c and buy it back for 12s 28c. That is the ceiling for an auction price while vendors stock it.
• Disenchants into Soul Dust, Greater Astral Essence, Large Glimmering Shard, worth about 33s 52c on Normal Alliance today. Odds below.

• Soul Dust75% of the time · 2 to 57s 96c
• Greater Astral Essence20% of the time · 1 to 229s 46c
• Large Glimmering Shard5% of the time75s 90c

Expected value 33s 52c per disenchant at Normal Alliance medians. That is above the item's own median of 29s, so an enchanter can buy it to shard.

Vanilla disenchant tables by quality and item level; the same estimate the addon shows in tooltips.
