How to make gold at level 30 to 40

• Vendors sell it for 3g 29s 89c and buy it back for 65s 97c. That is the ceiling for an auction price while vendors stock it.
• Crafted by Tailoring at skill 165; the recipe comes from a trainer. Reagents below.
• It binds when equipped: tradeable until someone wears it, so each one sells once.
• Disenchants into Vision Dust, Lesser Nether Essence, Small Radiant Shard, worth about 1g 16s 76c on Normal Alliance US today. Odds below.

• Stormcloth Vest · Tailoring 165 · trainer

Expected value 1g 16s 76c per disenchant at Normal Alliance US medians, counting only the priced materials. More than the 65s 97c a vendor pays for it.

Vanilla disenchant tables by quality and item level; the same estimate the addon shows in tooltips.
