How to make gold at level 40 to 50

• Vendors sell it for 2g 55s 64c and buy it back for 51s 12c. That is the ceiling for an auction price while vendors stock it.
• Crafted by Tailoring at skill 185; the recipe comes from a trainer. Reagents below.
• It binds when equipped: tradeable until someone wears it, so each one sells once.
• Disenchants into Illusion Dust, Lesser Eternal Essence, Small Brilliant Shard, worth about 1g 24s 70c on Normal Alliance today. Odds below.

• Runecloth Belt · Tailoring 185 · trainer
  • 3× Bolt of Runecloth
  • 1× Rune Thread

• Illusion Dust75% of the time · 1 to 2no price yet
• Lesser Eternal Essence20% of the time · 1 to 22g 99s

Expected value 1g 24s 70c per disenchant at Normal Alliance medians, counting only the priced materials. More than the 51s 12c a vendor pays for it.

Vanilla disenchant tables by quality and item level; the same estimate the addon shows in tooltips.
