How to make gold at level 30 to 40

• Vendors sell it for 2g 65s 21c and buy it back for 53s 4c. That is the ceiling for an auction price while vendors stock it.
• Crafted by Engineering at skill 185; the recipe comes from a trainer. Reagents below.
• Disenchants into Small Radiant Shard, worth about 14g 99s on Normal Alliance US today. Odds below.

• Hyperconductive Goldwap · Engineering 185 · trainer
  • 10× Gold Bar
  • 3× Hyperconductive Arcano-Filament
  • 3× Polished Truesilver Gears
  • 1× Faintly Glowing Leather

• Small Radiant Shardalways · 2 to 44g 99s 99c

Expected value 14g 99s per disenchant at Normal Alliance US medians. More than the 53s 4c a vendor pays for it.

Vanilla disenchant tables by quality and item level; the same estimate the addon shows in tooltips.
