How to make gold at level 40 to 50

Where it comes from

  • Not tradeable. It binds when picked up, so it is earned in play and never listed on the auction house.
  • Vendors sell it for 60s and buy it back for 15s. That is the ceiling for an auction price while vendors stock it.
  • Crafted by Enchanting at skill 245; the recipe comes from a trainer. Reagents below.
  • Disenchants into Small Brilliant Shard, worth about 4g 70c on Normal Alliance US today. Odds below.

Disenchants into

Expected value 4g 70c per disenchant at Normal Alliance US medians. More than the 15s a vendor pays for it.

Vanilla disenchant tables by quality and item level; the same estimate the addon shows in tooltips.
