How to make gold at level 30 to 40

• Vendors sell it for 4g 94s 60c and buy it back for 98s 92c. That is the ceiling for an auction price while vendors stock it.
• Found in Large Solid Chest in Scarlet Monastery (Training Grounds) (4% of 80 looted).
• Sources are what 3 players running the addon saw in game, summed across everyone who contributes; a rate needs at least twenty loot windows.
• Disenchants into Vision Dust, Greater Mystic Essence, Large Glowing Shard, worth about 1g 33s 36c on Normal Alliance US today. Odds below.

Expected value 1g 33s 36c per disenchant at Normal Alliance US medians. More than the 98s 92c a vendor pays for it.
