How to make gold at level 20 to 30

• Vendors sell it for 1g 45s 37c and buy it back for 29s 7c. That is the ceiling for an auction price while vendors stock it.
• Disenchants into Soul Dust, Greater Astral Essence, Large Glimmering Shard, worth about 63s 43c on Normal Alliance US today. Odds below.

• Soul Dust75% of the time · 1 to 28s 19c
• Greater Astral Essence20% of the time · 1 to 280s 75c
• Large Glimmering Shard5% of the time5g 99s 99c

Expected value 63s 43c per disenchant at Normal Alliance US medians. That is above the item's own median of 44s, so an enchanter can buy it to shard.

Vanilla disenchant tables by quality and item level; the same estimate the addon shows in tooltips.
