How to make gold at level 20 to 30

• Vendors sell it for 48s 10c and buy it back for 9s 62c. That is the ceiling for an auction price while vendors stock it.
• Crafted by Leatherworking at skill 95; the recipe comes from a trainer. Reagents below.
• Consumed by 2 recipes, which is where its demand comes from.
• It binds when equipped: tradeable until someone wears it, so each one sells once.
• Disenchants into Large Glimmering Shard, worth about 5g 99s 99c on Normal Alliance US today. Odds below.

• Toughened Leather Gloves · Leatherworking 95 · trainer
  • 4× Medium Leather
  • 2× Cured Medium Hide
  • 2× Elixir of Lesser Defense
  • 2× Fine Thread
  • 2× Spider's Silk

• Large Glimmering Shardalways5g 99s 99c

Expected value 5g 99s 99c per disenchant at Normal Alliance US medians. That is above the item's own median of 2g 50s, so an enchanter can buy it to shard.

Vanilla disenchant tables by quality and item level; the same estimate the addon shows in tooltips.
