In short
- The Minor Arcane Elixir is a common elixir new to Forever at item level 5, usable from character level 1, the first step of an arcane elixir line that continues with a Lesser Arcane Elixir at item level 25.
- Alchemists make it at skill 1 from one Empty Vial and one Peacebloom; it stays orange to skill 10 and goes grey at 15, so it is a skill-up craft before it is anything else.
- The client data names the use but gives no numbers for the effect, so this page does not state one; the vendor pair is 1 silver 25 to buy and 25 copper to sell back.
- In the October 2026 beta it traded from 74 copper to 10 silver 76 across the US markets, and the gap was the shelf: 566 listed on one market, fourteen on another.

What the Minor Arcane Elixir is
The Minor Arcane Elixir is an alchemy product that World of Warcraft: Forever added to the game. It is not in Classic Era, so there is no old price for it and no habit to fall back on. The client files it under Consumable, in the Elixirs bucket, at common quality and item level 5, and it asks for character level 1 to drink, which is as low as a requirement goes. It stacks to twenty and it is new in Forever: the catalog first saw it in beta build 1.60.1.70707.
The name places it. Forever gives alchemy a run of minor elixirs at the very first skill point, and the Minor Arcane Elixir sits in that run beside the Elixir of Minor Force, the Elixir of Minor Spirit, the Minor Mageblood Elixir, the Minor Mender's Potion and the Minor Spellblasting Potion, all of them skill 1 recipes. Further up the catalog there is a Lesser Arcane Elixir at item level 25, so this is the first step of a line rather than a one-off. By item level it ranks 26th of the 30 elixirs Forever adds, which is to say it is one of the lowest.
One honest gap. The client data this site reads names the use as the elixir itself and gives no numbers for what it does, so this page does not state an effect. Treat it as the first arcane elixir in the line and price it as a level 1 consumable; the effect text belongs to the game until a build ships it in the data.
Where the Minor Arcane Elixir comes from
Alchemists make it, and nothing else does. The recipe is a skill 1 craft: one Empty Vial and one Peacebloom make one elixir. It stays orange to skill 10, turns yellow at 10, green at 12 and grey at 15, so it is one of the first things a new alchemist skills up on and one of the first things they stop getting points from. Forever's data does not say where the recipe is learned, and this page will not assume it.

The vendor pair matters more than it does for most items. The client lists a vendor buy price of 1 silver 25 copper and a sell-back of 25 copper. If a vendor somewhere stocks it, which nothing in the scan records has shown yet, 1 silver 25 is the ceiling for an auction price, because nobody pays an auctioneer more than a vendor asks. Even without a stocking vendor, that figure sets the listing deposit and tells you what the game thinks the elixir is worth: not much.
What the Minor Arcane Elixir is used for
Two things, and only one of them is drinking it. Nothing in the Forever catalog takes it as a reagent: no recipe lists it as an input, so it is an end product. The list below is live and will show any recipe that starts using it in a later build.
No recipe in the Forever client uses Minor Arcane Elixir as a reagent.
The other use is the one that decides its price: it is a skill-up craft. An alchemist going from 1 to 15 makes these because the reagents are a vial and the cheapest herb in the game, and every one of those crafts is an elixir in a bag that the alchemist did not want for its own sake. That is why the item turns up on the auction house in the hundreds before most players have reached a level where they would drink one.

Through the October 2026 beta the elixir traded on all four open US markets, and the shape of the shelf was the story. On Normal Horde US it was the deepest listing of the four, with 566 units up at once and the cheapest at 74 copper, against a 30 day median of about half a silver. On PvP Alliance US fourteen units were listed at a median of 10 silver 76. Same item, same week, a fourteen-fold gap, and the difference is entirely how many alchemists on each side had just dumped their skill-up stock.
That is what a skill-up item looks like on any market: supply arrives in bursts from people who do not care what it sells for, and the price between bursts is whatever the few remaining listings ask. The 30 day medians, between 37 copper and 1 silver 43 across the four markets, are the honest reference; a single-day median of 10 silver on fourteen units is one seller, not a market. The prices guide covers why the median across all units is the number to trade on and why the listed count beside it matters.
Make it, sell it, or ignore it
- If you are an alchemist. Make it for the skill points and nothing else. From 1 to 10 every craft is a point, so it is the cheapest route through the first ten skill levels; from 10 to 15 it is a coin flip and the other skill 1 recipes are the same cost. List the output in stacks of five on whichever of your markets has the fewest listed, and do not expect more than the vendor figure once the shelf is deep.
- If you want one to drink. Buy it. On any market where alchemists are leveling it costs less than the herb that makes it, and there is no sense in a non-alchemist paying the deposit to learn a recipe for a level 1 consumable.
- If you trade. There is nothing here. The margin on the recipe page looks real on a day the shelf is thin and vanishes the next time an alchemist skills up. The one honest trade is the Peacebloom: the herb has steady demand from every skill 1 alchemy recipe at once, and the Alchemy recipe list shows how many of them take it.
A watchlist entry with an alert on the listed count is the only alert worth setting on this item: a count under twenty on your market means the skill-up stock has cleared, and that is the one hour a stack of five sells for silver.
What changes on 5 November
Launch opens empty houses to characters with no gold and no professions, and the first alchemists reach skill 1 within the first hour. So this is one of the first crafted items that will appear on every market, and it will appear in bulk, because every alchemist leveling through the first fifteen points makes a dozen of them. The first day's listings will be priced by people guessing; by the second day the deep shelf will have formed and the price will sit near the vendor figure, as it did in the beta.
The item's own effect is the thing to watch. If a launch build ships the numbers in the client data, this page and the item page will show them, and whether a level 1 elixir is worth drinking at level 20 decides whether it ever trades above the skill-up price. The EU markets open at the same instant and will run the same curve; the launch day guide covers the first 24 hours on every market.
Common questions
- What level is the Minor Arcane Elixir?
- Character level 1 to drink and item level 5. The recipe is Alchemy skill 1: orange from 1, yellow from 10, green from 12 and grey, with no skill-ups, from 15.
- How do you make a Minor Arcane Elixir in WoW Forever?
- Alchemy at skill 1 with one Empty Vial and one Peacebloom, making one elixir. Forever does not state where the recipe is learned, and nothing else in the catalog produces the item.
- What does the Minor Arcane Elixir do?
- The client data this site reads names the use as the elixir itself and carries no numbers for the effect, so AHledger does not state one. The item page shows the tooltip exactly as the game data builds it and will show the effect the moment a build ships it.
- How much is the Minor Arcane Elixir worth?
- In the October 2026 beta the medians ran from 1 silver 88 to 10 silver 76 across the four open US markets, with 30 day medians between 37 copper and 1 silver 43. The table on this page shows the current median on each market from the latest scan.
