In short
- The Pristine Circlet is a rare level 20 cloth helm new to Forever with 10 Stamina, 18 healing and 6 spell damage: a healer piece, and the end of the Pristine tailoring line.
- It binds when picked up, so it never reaches the auction house; the only way to wear one is to craft it on a tailor at skill 85 from the trainer recipe.
- The recipe takes a Silver Bar, two Silken Thread, ten Bolts of Silk Cloth, two Greater Astral Essence, four Cerulean Dye and four Pristine Leather; the dye is most of the cost.
- If you are not a tailor, the money is in selling the reagents to tailors who are.

What the Pristine Circlet is
The Pristine Circlet is a rare cloth helm new to World of Warcraft: Forever, item level 25 and wearable from level 20. The current client build gives it 35 armour, 10 Stamina, 18 healing and 6 spell damage. Those numbers make it a healer's piece first: at level 20 a priest, druid or paladin in cloth has nothing else in the head slot that adds healing, and 18 of it is a real difference to a Flash Heal.
It is one of a family. Forever added several cloth lines named by their dye, and the Pristine line is the healing one, and the Shadow, Flame, Shining, Silky and Pearly lines carry other stats for other casters. Each line runs from a gown at tailoring skill 40 through boots, gloves and leggings to a circlet, and the circlets are where the lines finish. The Cerulean Dye guide covers the reagent the whole family shares.
The detail that changes how you get one: the circlet is bind on pickup. The client flags it as binding when picked up, which for a crafted item means it binds to the tailor the moment it is made. You will not find it on the auction house, and no amount of gold buys one from another player. The only way to wear a Pristine Circlet is to make it on a character with Tailoring.
Where the Pristine Circlet comes from
It is a trainer recipe at Tailoring skill 85. There is no drop, no vendor and no quest for it; the recipe is in the trainer's list when you reach the skill, and the piece takes:
- Pristine Circlet · Tailoring 8510 × Bolt of Silk Cloth, 4 × Cerulean Dye, 4 × Pristine Leather, 2 × Greater Astral Essence, 2 × Silken Thread, 1 × Silver Bar
Six reagents from three professions. The Bolt of Silk Cloth and Silken Thread are the tailor's own; the Silver Bar comes from Mining; the Greater Astral Essence from Enchanting; and the two Forever reagents, four Cerulean Dye from Alchemy and four Pristine Leather from Leatherworking, are the ones most tailors will have to buy. The recipe stays orange until skill 125 and goes grey at 160, so a tailor can take skill points from it for a long stretch after learning it.
A trainer recipe at 85 asking for ten bolts of silk is unusual; in Classic Era silk pieces start around 125. Forever brings the silk lines down to the level the gear is for. Expect to buy the silk rather than farm it at that skill.
What the Pristine Circlet is for
The circlet is an end product. Nothing uses it as a reagent, and because it binds on pickup it is not a trade good at all. Its value is in three places.
- Wearing it. On a tailor who heals, it is the best head piece available at level 20 and holds up until the first dungeon drops in the 30s. Tailors who play priests are the natural owners.
- Skill. Every craft between 85 and 125 is a guaranteed point, and the circlet is one of the few recipes in that range whose output is worth keeping. A tailor who needs to climb through the 90s anyway can make the circlet they will wear and get the points for it.
- Selling the parts. This is where most of the money is. Tailors cannot sell the circlet, so the demand it creates shows up in the reagents: Cerulean Dye, Pristine Leather, Greater Astral Essence and silk bolts all sell to tailors who want one. If you are an alchemist, a leatherworker or an enchanter, the circlet is a reason your reagent sells.
No recipe in the Forever client uses Pristine Circlet as a reagent.
What the Pristine Circlet costs
Because it binds on pickup, there is no market price for the circlet itself. The table below will stay empty unless the binding changes in a future build; the item page checks every scan. What the circlet has is a cost to make, and that cost is set by the four Forever and Enchanting reagents rather than by the cloth.
No market has a scan with Pristine Circlet listed yet. The item page fills in as scans arrive.
Through October 2026 the expensive part was the dye. Four units of Cerulean Dye at the October medians came to somewhere between six and twenty gold depending on the market, with the PvP markets at the top of that range; the dye page above has today's numbers. Pristine Leather is the second cost and has been scarcer on the Alliance markets. Beside those two, ten bolts of silk and a silver bar are small change at level 20, and two Greater Astral Essences are a few silver from any enchanter breaking down green gear.
Put together, a Pristine Circlet is a ten to thirty gold piece of gear at a level where a character has perhaps forty gold to their name. That is why it is a tailor's own reward rather than a market item, and why the dye price matters so much to whether anyone makes one. The crafting desk totals the reagents on your market from the latest scan.
Make it, wait for it, or sell into it
If you are a tailor who heals. Make it. The circlet is the best piece in its slot for the next ten levels, and you need the skill points regardless. Buy the four dye and the four leather in one go when a watchlist alert at the 30 day median fires, and make the circlet as the first craft after 85 rather than the fifth; the silk you would otherwise spend on grey-tier pieces goes into something you wear.
If you are a tailor who does not heal. Skip it. The other lines end in circlets of their own, and the Pristine recipe is not needed for skill. Spend the dye on your own line.
If you are not a tailor. There is no way to get the circlet, and no point asking a tailor to make one for you. What you can do is sell into the demand: Frilled Lichen and Cerulean Dye if you gather or brew, Pristine Leather if you skin and tan, Greater Astral Essence if you enchant. The dye guide explains why the dye has been the better of those to hold.
The professions guide has the wider picture of which profession feeds which, and the crafting profit guide covers how to cost a piece whose output cannot be sold.
What changes on 5 November
Everything above comes from the beta economy on the US markets. Launch on 5 November starts every market from nothing, and the circlet is a second-week item on a fresh server: a tailor needs skill 85 and a character at level 20, and the four dye and four leather need an alchemist and a leatherworker who have been at it for a few days. Nobody will make one in launch week, and the first ones will be made by tailors who planned for it and bought the reagents cheap while everyone else was still leveling.
That planning is the whole edge. Cerulean Dye in the beta rose for weeks after it first appeared, and on a launch server the gap between the first alchemists and the first tailors at 85 is where the price climbs. Buy the dye in launch week, when alchemists are making it for skill and no tailor is buying, and the circlet costs you a fraction of what it costs the tailor who buys the dye at skill 85. The same is true, in smaller amounts, of the Pristine Leather and the essences. The EU markets open at the same instant and run the same curve from the same hour.
Common questions
- How do you get the Pristine Circlet in WoW Forever?
- By crafting it. It is a Tailoring trainer recipe at skill 85, and the circlet binds when picked up, so it cannot be bought from another player or found on the auction house.
- What does the Pristine Circlet need?
- One Silver Bar, two Silken Thread, ten Bolts of Silk Cloth, two Greater Astral Essence, four Cerulean Dye and four Pristine Leather. The dye and the leather are Forever reagents made by alchemists and leatherworkers.
- Who is the Pristine Circlet for?
- Healers at level 20 who have Tailoring. Its 18 healing and 6 spell damage make it the best head piece in the slot until dungeon drops in the 30s. The other circlets in the family carry other stats.
- Can you sell the Pristine Circlet?
- No. It binds when picked up. Tailors keep it, and the demand it creates shows up in the prices of its reagents instead.
